Have you ever thought about joining the HAS committee and help with the management of your society ? It is always useful to have members who can be called upon to fill vacancies if and when they arise. If you are at all interested or perhaps you don’t know what’s involved, please do contact our chairman (Ray) for a chat.
Additionally the Kent Allotments & Gardens Council are now urgently seeking allotment members from around Kent to serve on the KAGC committee. Their AGM will be held on the 4th October at the Bull Inn Penenden Heath. (If you would like to attend or require more information, please speak to Ray or post a comment before 18 Sept.) The main issue to be discussed at this meeting will be the future of the KAGC. This year, due to their ages (75 plus), the Chairman, Treasurer and Auditor are all standing down, they are also in need of extra competition judges. Unless these posts are filled then the possible consequences are that the KAGC will be wound up.
